Description: This Vintage 80s C. Jul. Herbertz 200711 Exquisit Folding Pocket Knife is in excellent, very clean condition and only shows light traces of age, handling and storage. The knife is clearly stamped on it's ricasso "C. JUL. HERBERTZ ROSTFREI 440 200711" and also has the Herbertz script logo and "MESSER" etched onto the blade. No country of origin is stamped on the blade and even though most Herbertz knives of this era were made in Germany, some during this time were made in Seki, Japan. As both countries produce fine blades and the quality of this piece is evident, it's origins are truly a "toss up!" The blade has a clean edge that strongly appears to be original from the factory and only light traces of age and handling can be detected. The blade locks up securely and shows no noticeable signs of "play" or "wobble." The highly decorated bolsters are very striking and display very nicely. The dark hardwood grips are also in excellent condition and no signs of wear from use or storage can be noticed. The original Herbertz box, as well as the packaging, is also included and shows expected signs of age. Please examine the photographs carefully for the best description of condition.
