They cam be installed on the strap you order or you can purchase separately to use on any adjustable strap. Pad is easily moved or adjusted to the desired location on your shoulder. Once placed where you want the pad, it will remain there unless you move it - Pad will not shift or slide. If you want to use this pad on an existing strap, the strap must be adjustable. Order by the width of your strap. Straps that are 1/2 in. to 5/8 in. in width, the pad is 1.5 inches wide. For 3/4 in. to 1 in. wide adjustable straps, the pad is 2 inches wide and if your strap is 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 inches wide, the pad is 2 1/2 inches wide.
