Description: Remington 1100 forend modificaiton tool.This tool (made by my gunsmith) proved indespensible while modifying a nice 1100 12 ga forend i got from Numrich to fit my old 1970's 1100. This tool goes into your electric drill.The forend was really nice but was for " light contour" barrels and was not specified as such.This tool worked great on the forend i had but may need 'tweaking' to work on your specific forend. The older 1100's with standard barrels have too large a barrel lug and the light contour forend won't slide on all the way. With this great tool you can drill out the excess wood(straight that is) without risking the forend splitting.You will still have to slightly open up the barrel channel for the forend and standard weight barrel to fit correctly. You will also need a "wave washer" from another seller on e bay to have the old magazine cap work with the new forend.non returnable
