Description: This offering is being brought to you by Memphis Woodcraft, a small-batch sawmill, kiln, and lumber service out of Memphis, Tennessee. These are Brazilian Purpleheart slabs, cut in 8/4 (2") thickness and vacuum kiln dried. These slabs are rough cut, and will need to be planed to your likeness. They have dried flat and would be considered FAS grade. Slabs range from 10" wide to 18" wide. Some have live edge (see pic - it's a pretty killer live edge) while others are edged. We have slabs up to 12' long but cannot ship anything over 5' at this time, but can do local pickup in Memphis, TN. Auction is for 5 board feet of material. Add multiple quantities for more ordering. We will reach out to you on your preference of width, live edge / no live edge - we are flexible and will work with your wants. Please note, we are unable to verify if any material has flame or curl in it. We have planed probably 8-10 slabs of this and everything so far is standard grain Purpleheart. All material is 2" thick. If you are interested in a larger order for longer slabs, please reach out with your specifications and we can create a custom order for you! Please note - Rough-cut Purple heart will often have a brown look to it, rather than brilliant purple. Once you plane, it will be even more brown. As it reacts to sunlight and heat, it will turn more purple. Please note - Free shipping is for the lower 48 states only!
