Description: I recently purchased this Meade ETX-80 Observer. I've decided to go another direction! This unit is in excellent condition new and includes a 497 Autostar with the latest firmware. It's been tested for slewing in all directions of Declination and Azimuth and works as expected. Also Included is both the 65 page Instruction Manual for the EXT Observer Series and the 495/497 Autostar instruction manual.The equipment shipped includes:Objective Lens CoverTwo tripod mounting boltsThe #07823-LS Red Dot Viewfinder The best feature is that the OTA is detachable for other OTAs to be attached ( tested with an ETX90) with the two thumb screws on the cradle. The ETX80 Observer OTA has the slide built in 2x Barlow for the top viewing port and the standard flip mirror for the rear camera port. NO TRIPOD.
