Description: For sale a rare complete Turbo Lite vintage BMX bicycle made by Diamond Back on 1984 when they were on the top of their glory and quality. I believe this was the lightest bike for kids pro competition on that era. It is in survivor conditions, the original black chrome is on the frame and forks. The handlebar (which is made of one piece aluminum alloy) has been refinished, though, to match the rest of the frame. Handlebars grips are the original ones. The cranks are original Turbo Lite, hard to find and priceless, which the hardware is in great conditions and re-greased. Just the 3-piece Sugino DB Turbo Lite cranks are worth more than $600. There might be others for same sale price but without original cranks, which makes this one a much better deal. The chrome of the stem is not that good, so you might consider re-chrome it, but it is still shinny. The seat clamp is the original one but I painted “plated gold” to match the decals, but you could remove the paint with thinner or paint remover. It is jot real plating. The rims are Ukai, very aftersought and rare with original decals. Tires 1-3/8 and tubes are new, so it is ridable. The seat is Mini Pro which is also rare and very desirable on these mini bikes. Pedals are new. This Turbo Lite and the Harry Leary Turbo are the holy grail of the Diamond Back and some of the best BMX bikes of 1984. Fair price, less than my investment, my loss is your gain.
