Engraving is a process where, in this case, metal is cut into to form a pattern. The laser marking process is almost the opposite. A solution is painted onto the surface of the metal and let dry. Next the item is transferred to a laser machine where the beam hits the object in the desired pattern on the surface. In this case, what ever you would like on the item.
