Description: Gorgeous Chicago Hardware Found No. 8 Chicken Fryer With Diamond Logo and Matching #8 1/2 Lid. Made by the Chicago Hardware Foundry from 1934-1938. CONDITION: Skillet is in good vintage condition. It has a small wobble at the 2 o'clock position corrected by 3 index cards. Cooking surface is smooth, and has several isolated small pits and a tiny raised area (about the size of a pencil eraser, which appears to be a casting flaw. Lines on lettering are crisp and clear. Very nice chicken fryer. Skillet does not spin, has no cracks, rust, or repairs. Please see photos as part of description.Lid is very good condition. It has a subtle wobble which is corrected by one index card and it sits flat on skillet. ~Disclaimer: All vintage and antique cast iron typically shows some signs of wear including light utensil marks, discoloration, and minor pitting.
