Description: The American Virgin Islands were first a colony of Denmark but became a possession of the United States finally in 1917. So, like the Hawaiian Islands the islands coins are to me colonial coinage of the U.S. The Danish West Indies became the United States Virgin Islands. Offered here is an 1845 silver 10 skilling coin of the Danish West Indies. A nice coin with light toning which is just a bit darker than the scans. I think it is close to AU with a tiny rim nick keeping the price lower. You will like it. The1845 dated obverse has the value X at the top with date at bottom with legend in Danish translated to 10 skilling Denmark AMERICAN COIN. The reverse has a crown and shield with 3 lions. See the scans. U.S. shipping is $4. It will cost me more. PayPal preferred. WILL SHIP ANYWHERE ALLOWED BY Ebay I am always open to offers on any of my listings. Just ask. Worst thing is I say no.I combine shipping usually adding nothing and when I do just enough to cover shipping or insurance. If you pay more than one shipping I will refund the difference. Just remind me if I forget.
