This diecast reflects Dale Earnhardt Sr's GM Goodwrench "crash car" after he was involved in an accident on lap 190 that caused him to flip upside down on the backstretch of the Daytona 500 at Daytona International Speedway on Sunday February 16, 1997. Earnhardt jumped out of the ambulance when he saw that his car was still running and on its wheels, and completed 5 more laps to finish 31st. Jeff Gordon led the final 6 laps of the race to earn the victory in his DuPont Chevrolet for Hendrick Motorsports.
